Primary responsibility: Set up and operate the HP Digital Press; prepare for preflight, color adjustments, and manufacture of all digitally printed products. Complete visual and specification quality checks on each retain, continuously monitor quality and press conditions. Maintain press efficiency and minimize waste. Perform digital press maintenance and requisition supplies. Adhere to all safety and housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities:

• Set up jobs according to job ticket and product specifications, including pre-flighting files, color adjustments, staging, and queuing.
• Complete job start-up and quality sign-off, including specification and visual checks.
• Operate digital press to produce products that meet customer specifications while minimizing waste and maintaining efficiency.
• Requisition all necessary supplies, including inks, coatings, machine parts, and tools.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the press and related equipment.
  • Implement preventative maintenance and coordinate with HP Service professionals as needed.
• Safety:
  • Follow all safety guidelines for material handling, machine, and tooling use.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Report safety risks to supervisors or safety team.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating a digital press and/or minimum 2 years web or offset printing experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret communications and instructions.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and determine root causes of problems.
• Knowledge of production materials, quality methods, and color standards.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Computer prepress/preflight knowledge preferred; advanced computer skills required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities including close, distance, and focus adjustment.
