Job summary

MCC is seeking a Press Operator Assistant to support printing presses, set up jobs per specifications, and assist with changeovers. The role requires basic reading of job tickets and attention to safety and quality, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment cleanliness, assisting with ink pans, and collaborating with the press operator to ensure timely production. Training is provided for the right candidate in a team-focused setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Print shop experience helpful but not required.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to read and understand a job ticket.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
• Attains and maintains all defined job objectives for planning and execution of jobs and quick changes.
• Assist in external make-ready operations for changeover between label jobs.
• Assist in external clean-up activities after changeover.
• Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment.
• Strip plates from cylinders and locate dies.
• May work with press operator to view labels with strobe light.
• Ensure quality assurance per customer and MCC specs; complete QA sheets if required.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and workspace; participate in overtime when needed.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
