Job summary

Battery Recyclers of America is seeking a logistics-focused shipments coordinator to act as the operational point person for battery shipments, advising customers on packaging, labeling, and compliance, and ensuring shipments meet DOT and EPA requirements.

You will manage end-to-end shipments, coordinate carriers and specialized vendors, keep Salesforce records current, and collaborate with customers and recyclers to resolve issues quickly while contributing to evolving SOPs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of logistics coordination experience.
• Familiarity with 49 CFR lithium battery shipping rules.
• 2+ years of Salesforce experience.
• Current DOT hazmat employee training certification.
• IATA DGR or IMDG experience for battery shipments.
• Direct experience shipping lithium batteries for recycling or reverse logistics.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on compliant packaging, marking, labeling, and shipping papers.
• Plan and route nationwide LTL and FTL shipments with carriers.
• Coordinate specialized vendors for oversized or sensitive shipments.
• Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading and hazmat papers.
• Maintain shipment details and communications in Salesforce.
• Proactively flag problems and refine SOPs as regulations evolve.
