Job summary

People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Inc. is seeking a packing specialist to manage the accurate and timely fulfillment of literature and inventory requests from activists and staff at the PETA Foundation and related groups.

You will prepare premade packs, create address files for labels, and train interns and volunteers in packing techniques while assisting visitors and restocking inventory in a fast-paced mailroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Knowledge of the Internet, e-mail, and Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel software.
• Proven exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work well under pressure.
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record.
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization.

The hourly pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.50. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience.
