Job summary

Winston Preparatory School in Whippany, NJ is seeking a passionate educator to join our campus as both a Language Arts & Literature Classroom Teacher and a 1:1 Focus Instructor. This full-time role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and design of responsive instruction.

You will work with students in small groups and one-to-one settings, support reading and writing growth, and participate in professional development within a mission-driven, supportive community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Literacy, English, Special Education, or related field.
• Master’s degree in related field is highly desirable.
• Two years of language arts or literacy teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students in a positive environment.
• Teach students in 1:1 and small-group settings.
• Use multi-sensory techniques to support decoding, reading fluency, and writing.
• Plan activities for a balanced program of instruction and assessment.
• Maintain student records and communicate progress to families.
