CONNALLY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Literacy Workshop Instructor for PK-2 to provide developmentally appropriate literacy enrichment during Cadet Enrichment Hour. Qualifications

• Develop literacy workshop activities for PK-2 students.
• Support letter recognition, sounds, vocabulary, and emergent writing.
• Use read-alouds, songs, storytelling, and hands-on activities to teach reading.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide engaging literacy workshop activities for elementary students.
• Support early literacy skills including letter recognition, sounds, vocabulary, listening and reading comprehension.
• Use read-alouds, storytelling, songs, rhymes, games, and hands-on materials to build student interest in reading and language.
• Provide instruction developmentally appropriate for young learners and responsive to student needs.
• Reinforce positive literacy habits, including listening to stories and active participation.
• Encourage curiosity, confidence, communication and participation.
• Adapt activities to support different learning levels and language needs.
