Job summary

School-Based Literacy Coaches will provide non-evaluative, job-embedded instructional coaching to K-3 teachers in Prince George's County, focusing on improving reading achievement through Science of Reading practices and high-quality instructional materials.

Coaches will lead coaching cycles, model structured literacy practices, deliver professional learning, and support teachers in implementing evidence-based reading instruction aligned to Maryland's Comprehensive PreK-3 Policy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent (36 post-baccalaureate credits) required.
• Four years of administrative or teaching experience in literacy in PreK-12 settings.
• Active teacher certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-evaluative instructional coaching to K-3 teachers in Prince George's County.
• Lead coaching cycles and model structured literacy practices.
