Job summary

GenScript USA Inc/ProBio Inc. in the United States seeks a highly motivated scientist to join its Innovation Center for novel lipid or polymer molecule development for RNA and gene delivery. You will drive synthesis from R&D to scale, build scalable processes, and interpret analytical data to support a proprietary lipid-based delivery platform.

The role requires a Ph.D. in organic, polymer, or lipid chemistry and at least 1 year of post-doctoral experience; GMP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• PhD in organic, polymer, or lipid chemistry from an accredited university.
• At least 1 year of post-doctoral experience; GMP environment a plus.
• Proven track record via publications or patents.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Humility and eagerness to learn in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Everyday hand-on chemist to synthesize novel organic and lipid polymer compounds.
• Develop scalable processes for potential commercial LNP formulations.
• Characterize data using HPLC, LC-MS, NMR and related instrumentation.
• Maintain laboratory and inventories per good laboratory practices.
• Communicate findings with supervisor and peers; suggest next steps.
• Stay updated on latest technology and scientific trends.
• Perform other duties as needed.
