Job summary

SG Cap Trading is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to advance automation and infrastructure across our growing systems. You will develop Python scripts, manage Linux-based environments, and contribute to open‑source tooling and IaC practices.

Responsibilities include building monitoring, setting up virtualization, and supporting SQL databases, with mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to VMware, Ansible, and enterprise-grade monitoring.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Linux command line environments (Ubuntu/Debian, CentOS/RHEL).
• Strong Python programming skills for automation.
• Experience with Bash scripting and configuration management.
• Familiarity with Git version control and code review processes.
• Understanding of core Linux services (systemd, SSH, DNS, DHCP).
• Basic networking and network monitoring knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python automation scripts for infrastructure management.
• Build monitoring solutions using open-source tools.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code with Ansible.
• Troubleshoot Linux system issues and assist with hardware maintenance.
• Set up desktops, laptops, and virtual machines (Linux, Windows, Mac).
• Support SQL database management, including queries and table creation.
• Design and document scalable infrastructure solutions.
