Job summary

Nscale in Seattle is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who loves Python, automation, and large-scale infrastructure.

You will build Python tools to improve operations, collect and analyze data from servers and cloud environments, and create dashboards to enhance visibility and efficiency across compute, networking, and platform services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
• Experience with Python development through coursework or projects.
• Familiarity with Linux command line tools and scripting.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn in a team.
• 0–2 years of professional work experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python scripts and automation tools to improve infrastructure operations.
• Build utilities to collect, analyze, and report data from servers, networks, and cloud envs.
• Create dashboards and automation workflows to enhance visibility and efficiency.
• Assist with internal tools used by Systems and Network Engineering teams.
• Work with APIs, databases, and infrastructure services to automate tasks.
• Contribute to monitoring and telemetry improvements through scripting and data analysis.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team meetings.
• Document tools and workflows for internal users.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on compute, networking, cloud, and platform projects.
