Job summary

Leidos is seeking a System Administrator to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DoD. You will manage Linux, Windows, and Mac systems within a VMware environment, collaborating with a team to ensure uptime, security, and performance across multiple enclaves.

Ideal candidates have DoD 8570.11 IAT II certifications, strong scripting skills, and experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow. This role requires US citizenship and readiness for on-call support in a 24/7/365 setting.

Qualifications

• Cloud services experience with AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) concepts and Dell VXRail.
• Tier 2 system administration of Linux and Windows Server (2012 R2/2016).
• Experience with virtual desktops running Linux, Windows, or MacOS.
• Scripting/Automation through Shell, PowerShell, PowerCLI, or other languages.
• Experience with incident analysis and identifying issue trends.
• Server patch management methodologies.
• Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems (ServiceNow).
• DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II certification requirements (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP).
• US Citizenship and TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to handle service inquiries and problems.
• Provide technical support, administration, and monitoring of Linux, Windows, and Mac systems within a VMware environment.
• Support implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems; distinguish enterprise-wide issues.
• Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, analyze, and implement incident solutions.
• Develop solutions to complex technical issues.
• Provide follow-up reports for RCA, engineering assessment, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support 24/7/365 operations and on-call during outages.
• Update operations and monitoring documentation for 24/7/365 operations.
