Job summary

Leidos in Virginia is seeking a System Administrator to support IC in a lab and production environment. The role provides hands-on IT infrastructure support, system administration, and guidance to junior staff.

You will manage Linux RHEL and Windows Server deployments, patching, backups, monitoring, and security compliance under RMF/DIACAP; strong documentation and troubleshooting skills are essential. Experience with Cisco/Juniper networking, VMware vCenter, and Oracle servers is required.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience or equivalent combination of work history and education.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 compliance.
• Ability to analyze and resolve customer trouble calls with minimal supervision.
• Experience building and maintaining Linux RHEL and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with virtualization and network management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day system administration and performance optimization.
• Configure and operate information management systems and backups.
• Monitor hardware, servers, and key processes; review logs and reports.
• Guide and train junior staff; write technical documentation.
• Apply OS patches and manage services; perform capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot networking (Cisco/Juniper) and maintain network monitoring.
• Maintain security posture per RMF/DIACAP requirements.
