Global Channel Management seeks a seasoned Linux System Administrator to operate, maintain and support high availability server, database and SAN platforms across multiple data centers. Responsibilities include 24x7 on-call coverage, patching, upgrades and performance tuning.

The role requires eight years of Red Hat Linux administration experience, Oracle SQL/RAC expertise, and strong written communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
• 8+ years of system administration experience in Red Hat Linux
• Experience with HP C7000 blades and DL380/DL580 servers
• 24x7x365 on-call support and after-hour/weekend coverage
• Experience with Oracle SQL database and Oracle RAC on SAN platforms
• Strong documentation and written communication skills

Responsabilités

• Operate, maintain and provide 24x7x365 support for high availability server/database/SAN platforms
• Monitor, alert, troubleshoot, and perform capacity management
• Provision, patch, upgrade and tune systems across data centers
• Administer multiple systems with after-hours/weekend support in a 99.999% uptime environment
• Create clear system documentation and runbooks for operations teams

Qualifications

• Ø 2nd shift position with typical hours from 1pm-10am Mountain Time
• Ø 24x7x365 on-call rotation availability is required
• Ø Minimum eight years of system administration experiences in Red Hat LINUX
• Ø The LINUX System Administrator is responsible for the operation, maintenance and 24x7x365 support of the high availability server/database/SAN platforms located in both local & remote Data Centers across multiple time zones.
• Ø Supports daily operations including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, capacity management, provisioning, hardware and software configuration, patching, upgrades and performance monitoring/tuning
• Ø Administers multiple systems including regular after-hour & weekend supports and 24x7x365 in a 99.999% uptime environment
• Ø Composes clear and concise system documentation and reports Minimum Qualifications: ? Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ø Minimum eight years of system administration experiences in Red Hat LINUX ? Additional two years of technical experiences or one of the following certifications: LINUX LPIC, Red Hat RHCSA, Red Hat RHSE Required Experiences:
• Ø Expert knowledge with LINUX (Redhat) administration, in-depth knowledge of RedHat based distros Familiarity with a multitude of OSS tools and utilities for managing, monitoring and troubleshooting Linux infrastructure and networks
• Ø Expert knowledge of system administration of HP C7000 blades, DL380 and DL580 servers ? Experience with supporting Oracle SQL database including Oracle RAC cluster implementation on SAN platforms
• Ø Strong knowledge of SAN architectures and Fibre Channel protocols ? Experience administering servers, backup operations, and systems monitoring in multiple and complex network server environments
• Ø Experience with Datacenter Migrations, Server upgrades, O/S and firmware patching ? Expert troubleshooting and diagnostic skills and providing support to Operations personnel ? Experience supporting mission critical systems 24x7x365 including regular on-call for after-hour and weekend support
• Ø Experience with business continuity / disaster recovery failover/failback and runbook documentation Ability to prioritize multiple assigned tasks and execute parallel tasks in a high-pressure environment Experience with cyber security, server hardening and DMZ deployment
• Ø Strong writing and communication skills ? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Ø Must be able to perform duties with minimum supervision, and participate in cross-functional projects as scheduled Desired Skills/Certifications: One or more LINUX/Database/SAN/Server/OS certifications
• Ø Experience with meeting high-availability (99.999% uptime) SLAs.
