Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Linux Server Systems Engineer to support the National Digital Exploitation & OSINT Center (NDOC). The role focuses on design, deployment, and lifecycle support of Linux-based server infrastructure across physical and virtual environments at a 100% on-site location in Bethesda, MD.

You will work with systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and application teams to translate mission requirements into engineered solutions, including automation, hardening, and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline and 4+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience engineering, deploying, integrating, and maintaining Linux/UNIX server environments.
• Experience with RHEL, Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux, and/or Ubuntu.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, integrate, configure, and optimize Linux server solutions across physical and virtual infrastructures.
• Perform systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, functional analysis, and system testing.
• Develop automation for provisioning, patching, compliance, monitoring, and lifecycle management using Ansible/Salt/Puppet/Chef and scripting.
• Maintain standardized Linux configurations and deployment patterns across multiple platforms.
• Develop Linux system-hardening solutions aligned with cybersecurity requirements.
• Support integration of Linux with virtualization, storage, networking, identity, and monitoring services.
