Job summary
VOLTO Consulting in New Jersey is seeking a Linux Administrator with 4–6 years of hands-on experience to manage and support enterprise Linux infrastructure in cloud and on-prem environments.
You will install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky/Ubuntu), perform OS upgrades and patch management, implement security hardening, automation, and monitor system health for high availability and optimal performance.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of hands-on Linux admin experience in enterprise environments.
- Proficient in installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky Linux/Ubuntu).
- Experience with OS upgrades, patch management, migrations, vulnerability remediation, and kernel updates.
- Strong monitoring, performance tuning, security hardening, and automation skills.
- Experience with high availability and performance optimization of Linux systems.
Responsibilities
- Administer Linux servers, monitor health and resources (CPU, memory, storage, network).
- Perform OS upgrades, patch management, migrations, and kernel updates.
- Troubleshoot and support business-critical applications hosted on Linux.
- Implement security hardening and automation to improve reliability and compliance.
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of Linux infrastructure.
