Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions seeks a Linux DevOps Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role requires active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance and hands-on management of IT infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and secure, scalable deployments.

You will collaborate with product teams, automate tasks with Ansible/Terraform, and maintain system documentation. Telework is not offered; the position is full-time with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 5 additional years of SysAdmin experience may substitute for degree.
• Security+ certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment strategies and resolve environment-related issues.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Ensure system security through firewalls, antivirus tools, and access controls.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay current with DevOps trends.
