Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a senior System Administrator with active TS/SCI with Polygraph to manage and secure critical IT infrastructure in Maryland. The role emphasizes Linux-based administration, automation with Ansible/Terraform, and CI/CD pipelining.

Ideal candidates have 10 years of SysAdmin experience and a technical Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent experience. Excellent benefits include 25 days PTO, 11 holidays, and employer-paid health coverage from day one.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is REQUIRED.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 5 years of additional System Administrator experience may substitute for a degree.
• Security+ certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment strategies and resolve environment-related issues.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Ensure system security through firewalls, antivirus tools, and access controls.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay current with DevOps trends.
