Job summary

FLSmidth in Winfield, WV is seeking a hands-on manufacturing worker to perform defined tasks contributing to production volumes. You will use hand tools and process materials per client specs to maintain quality outputs.

Responsibilities include identifying lining materials, operating overhead cranes and forklifts safely, and applying wear resistant materials following blue prints. Strong safety adherence and basic computer time-tracking are expected.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Computer skills: ability to use the computer for time tracking purposes.
• Understanding of lining materials and how they affect the performance of the product.

Responsibilities

• Use safe rigging and overhead crane practices on various heavy metal shapes.
• Safe practices for hand grinding.
• Safe operation of Fork-Lift.
• Operate a saw to cut ceramic tiles, carbide tungsten and rubber.
• Mix and apply compounds used as adhesives.
• Apply various lining materials to various products as per blue prints and client specifications.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to FLSmidth safety procedures and regulations.
• As part of job enrichment, cross training in other areas will be given

Job description

Performs manual work within generally defined work instructions which contributes to the achievement of expected production volumes.

Uses a variety of hand tools to prepare and apply Wear Resistant Materials such as rubber, ceramic tile, stone hard and ceramic bead to equipment and components related to the mineral and mining industry.

Education, Experience And Skills
