Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a Tech Linguistic Tester to join the Testing Services department. The role focuses on writing and reporting bugs, evaluating translations in software and documentation, and ensuring linguistic quality across products.

The candidate should be a native speaker with excellent English, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks quickly while maintaining accuracy and consistency in testing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Native-level or fully bilingual fluency in required language(s).
• Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with MS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to navigate networks and websites with different browsers.
• Basic knowledge of PC hardware and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Write and report relevant bugs and errors using internal database system.
• Prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently.
• Evaluate translations in software, mobile apps and documentation.
• Be a subject matter expert for linguistic issues in the target language.
• Adhere to quality standards, style guides, glossaries and client checklists.
• Troubleshoot problems and communicate testing issues effectively.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and with high quality.
