Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Linen Tech (Environmental Services) to support the hospital's linen and uniform needs. The role requires early morning hours and weekend/holiday coverage, with a starting rate of $18.50 per hour.

You will wash, inspect, deliver and organize linens, maintain records, and ensure clean linen rooms. A HS diploma or GED and English proficiency are required, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Linen Tech (Environmental Services). Required hours are: 4:00AM-12:00PM including every other weekend and holiday. Starting rate $18.50/hr.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Washes, dries, irons, and folds linen and uniforms as required.
• Inspects and sorts linen as it is received from laundry and records and returns rejects to laundry.
• Removes clean linen from laundry carts and places in designated areas.
• Loads carts for delivery.
• Removes soiled linen from patient floors.
• Informs Environmental Services Supervisor on any damaged or missing linen from laundry.
• Delivers linens to all user locations.
• Sets up charts for housekeeping schedules, and carts daily as needed.
• Maintains log for linen closets, documenting unused linen and reporting any apparent discrepancy between established standards and actual usage.
• Maintains linen room in a clean and orderly condition.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
• To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to bend/push/pull/lift 50lbs.

Relevant Experience:

• 1-3 years' experience as Linen Tech or relevant area preferred.
• Prior experience working in a Health Care Facility, Hospital System or relevant area preferred.
