Responsibilities

  • Answering telephones and taking messages.

  • Collecting soiled linen from designated collection areas.
  • Delivering all clean linen exchange carts to proper areas.
  • Maintaining daily logs/tracking forms.
  • Maintaining the department and soiled utility rooms in a clean, safe environment.
  • Stocking all clean linen on exchange carts.

As a Linen Service Worker, you'll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for every patient, visitor, and team member who enters our facility. Your work is essential to infection prevention, patient safety, and the exceptional healthcare experience our communities expect. The collection, cleaning, inventory and distribution of linens directly support outstanding patient care.

As a Linen Service Worker, a typical day might include the following:
  • Answering telephones and taking messages appropriately
  • Assembling and placing linen on exchange carts for delivery to nursing units according to pre- established scheduled and par levels
  • Collecting soiled linen from designated collection areas throughout the facility within the established time frames
  • Delivering all clean linen exchange carts to the proper areas within the established time frames
  • Maintaining daily log/tracking forms
  • Maintaining the department and soiled utility rooms in a clean and safe environment
  • Stocking all clean linen on exchange cart

This full-time dayposition is scheduled from 7:00am to 3:30 p.m. and includes rotating weekends and holidays. Experience working within Joint Commission and Department of Health standards is a plus.
