Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System seeks a Laundry & Linen associate responsible for receiving clean linen at the loading dock and delivering 7-inch utility carts to nursing units and other areas. You will load soiled linen by lifting bags onto carts and return carts to the loading dock, while following Safe Lifting Practices and hospital safety standards.

The role requires maintaining positive relations with team members and staff, and ensuring daily tasks meet quality and service guidelines.

Qualifications

• Require verbal ability to read and understand written instruction in English.
• Require availability to work weekends, holidays and other shifts.

Responsibilities

• Receives clean linen at the loading dock and delivers 7” utility carts to nursing units and other areas.
• Loads soiled linen by manually lifting bags onto the utility carts and returns carts to the loading dock.
• Follows Safe Lifting Practices and adheres to standards including OSHA, Bloodborne Pathogens and JCAHO requirements.
• Develops positive relations with other team members, nursing and hospital staff.
• Ensures completion of daily tasks according to established quality and service guidelines.
