Job summary

Focused Post Acute Care Partners is seeking a dedicated Laundry Staff member to maintain resident clothing and linens, ensuring cleanliness and infection control. The position involves collecting soiled items, sorting, washing, drying, and distributing clean linens to wings while following safety policies.

Candidates should read, write and speak English and be able to work with cleaning chemicals and various physical tasks.

Qualifications

• Follow instructions and accept constructive feedback.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Capable of working safely with cleaning chemicals and exposure to fumes, dust, and pet dander.
• Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled linen and clothing.
• Assist in sorting soiled articles.
• Wash and dry soiled articles as assigned.
• Transfer clean linens and distribute to wings per daily needs.
• Assist in labeling residents' clothing as needed.
• Follow safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
• Keep work areas clean and safe.
• Report defective equipment or repairs needed.
• Maintain knowledge of laundry policies and procedures.
• Maintain infection control practices and isolation procedures when required.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor.
• Attend staff education and meetings.
• Maintain professional conduct with residents.
• Follow facility policies including resident rights and infection control.
