Job summary

Focused Post Acute Care Partners is seeking a Laundry Staff member to handle laundry duties for resident clothing and linens. The role involves sorting, washing, drying, labeling, and distributing clean linens according to daily needs while following infection control practices.

Responsibilities include maintaining safe work areas, coordinating isolation procedures if necessary, and reporting any equipment issues.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Must be able to safely work with cleaning chemicals and tolerate fumes, dust, and pet dander.

Responsibilities

• Collects soiled linen and clothing.
• Assists in sorting soiled articles.
• Responsible for washing and drying of soiled articles.
• Transfers clean linens and distributes to wings according to daily needs.
• Assists in labeling residents' clothing as needed.
• Coordinates infection control practices when necessary.
• Maintains clean and safe work areas.
• Reports defective equipment or repairs needed.
