Job summary

FPACP HOUSTON LLC is seeking a Laundry Staff member to perform washing, drying, labeling, and distribution of linens and resident clothing. You will follow safety procedures and infection control guidelines while supporting daily operations in a long-term care setting.

The role requires ability to read, write, and speak English, as well as teamwork and the handling of cleaning chemicals. Evening and weekend shifts may be involved; excellent benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and exposure to fumes, dust, and pet dander.

Responsibilities

• Collects soiled linen and clothing.
• Sorts soiled articles for washing.
• Washes and dries soiled articles.
• Transfers clean linens to wings according to daily needs.
• Labels residents' clothing as needed.
• Follows safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
• Maintains clean and safe work areas; reports defects or repairs.
• Keeps infection control practices up to date.
• Coordinates isolation procedures when necessary.
• Reports accidents/incidents to supervisor or charge nurse.
• Attends staff education and meetings.
