River Valley Care Center is seeking a dependable laundry and housekeeping assistant to support residents by providing clean linens and sanitized facilities. Your role ensures a comfortable, sanitary environment for daily living.

You will sort, wash, dry, and deliver laundry, maintain equipment, and follow all sanitation procedures. GED or HS diploma required; 1 year preferred; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods is expected.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and ability to read directions.
• 1 year of experience preferred in laundry/housekeeping.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident's clothing items as needed.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Maintain sanitation procedures and inventory of laundry supplies.
• Operate washers and dryers safely and report issues.
