Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous laundry experience in industrial or commercial settings beneficial.
• Familiarity with laundry machines and chemical cleaning solutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled laundry and presoak as required.
• Load and unload washers; select cycles and temperatures; add detergents as needed.
• Load dried linens; fold and distribute to storage or linen carts.
• Deliver resident linens to rooms; check labels and repairs as needed.
• Follow infection control procedures for laundering isolation items.
• Drapes and privacy curtains to be washed on schedule; perform routine cleaning of the department.
• Escort soiled carts to holding area; maintain equipment and safety.
