Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a professional safety/technical training consultant to deliver, design, and evaluate training programs across the enterprise. The role may involve up to 75% travel and may be based in Amarillo, TX or Henderson, CO, with a hybrid work model to balance onsite collaboration and remote work.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Education, or a related field and at least five years of training experience, plus strong communication and adult-learning skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Education, or a technical field is preferred.
• Five years of training experience or equivalent technical work experience related to the subject area of instruction is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and strong communication/presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training using systematic approaches to develop and maintain materials.
• Design evaluation instruments and analyze feedback for program improvements.
• Coordinate apprenticeship programs within regions and support field staff training.
• Provide oversight for apprenticeship programs and instructional staff.
• Meet continuous technical and instructional requirements by following Training Process Procedures.
