Otter Tail Power seeks a Journeyman or Apprentice Electrical Line Worker to be temporarily located in Devils Lake, ND. Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited line worker program.
• Valid, unrestricted interstate commercial driver's license.
• Knowledge of electric line construction, maintenance and repair.
• Able to work outdoors in any weather and able to climb.
• Strong knowledge of safety rules.
• Willing to learn to use electrical instruments and operate hydraulic equipment.
• Must reside within 25 miles of Devils Lake, ND.

Responsibilities

• Maintain or repair overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems and substations.
• Frame and erect poles and attach fixtures and equipment.
• String, sag, and splice conductors and connect transformers and other equipment.
• Trim trees and replace insulators, crossarms, cutouts, ties, clamps, or braces to repair storm damage.
• Learn to work from an aerial basket and use electrical instruments.
