Job summary

Shelton Energy Solutions LLC seeks a Class B Lineman to advance lineman training in construction, maintenance, and repair of power transmission and distribution lines, both overhead and underground, using line trucks, booms, lifts, and wire-pulling equipment.

Position is full-time, on-site in Alexandria, LA, with travel and on-call requirements. 8 to 12 hour shifts may occur; strong commitment to safety and learning is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year experience as a Lineman C with Shelton Energy Solutions or completion of formal training elsewhere.
• Complete OSHA 10 hr Safety Training within 90 days.
• CDL Class A license preferred; must acquire CDL beginner's permit within 60 days.
• Possession of climbing tools preferred.
• Ability to read and understand minimum approach distances.
• Desire to learn and commitment to safety and quality work.

Responsibilities

• Work on energized primary lines and equipment under supervision.
• Install cutouts, line switches, recloses and other sectionalizing devices.
• Follow safety standards and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
