What you’ll do as a lineman

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cables.
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more.
• Safely operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, and more.
• Direct traffic flow in accordance with local DOT guidelines.
• Work aloft safely using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Work in multiple locations and travel to various sites.
• Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.

What you’ll need

• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You are authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• You have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• You have previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry as a Telephony Lineman with 3-5 years of experience.
• You have knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques.
• You can climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck, work aloft, and climb poles up to 40 feet.
• You can perform all duties in telecommunications construction, including pole transfers, maintenance builds, new builds, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction.
• You can set up and maintain safe work areas.
• You are able to work in all weather conditions.
