Job summary

Power Corporation of America/Southeast Power Corporation is seeking a journeyman lineman to install, maintain and repair transmission and distribution systems, both overhead and underground. You will operate line trucks, aerial booms, ladders, lifts and pulling equipment, and may train a trainee on the job.

The role requires climbing poles, working with energized lines, and leading crews in the foreman's absence while maintaining safety standards in varied weather conditions across locations.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on energized or de-energized circuits as required.
• Minimum 3 years formal lineman training or 8 years on-the-job training.
• Ability to lead crew in the foreman's absence.
• Capable of safe work in outdoor environments and extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair transmission and distribution lines and equipment.
• Operate line trucks, aerial booms, lifts, and related tools.
• Climb poles and towers and perform hot stick work on energized lines.
• Lead crew in the foreman's absence and train a trainee.
