Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Lineman – C Class to perform groundman and apprentice duties while working on de-energized or energized distribution lines. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service in a fast-paced field environment.

You will climb poles, string wire, set transformers, and maintain distribution equipment. A valid Class A CDL, a current medical examiner card, and OSHA 10-hour Training are required, along with the ability to travel

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience or equivalent hours.
• Valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.
• Must pass criminal and MVR background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of electrical line work and safety precautions.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in varied weather.
• Read and record data from meter dials and operate tools/equipment.
• Digs holes, strings wire, and sets transformers and distribution equipment.
• Respond to work orders for disconnections/reconnections and other public works services.
• Maintain tools and equipment and work on on-call basis.
