Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) is seeking a Class C Lineman to join our field crew. The role covers groundman responsibilities and working on de-energized lines, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and reliable service delivery.

The position requires climbing poles, operating service trucks, reading meter data, and performing essential distribution tasks in variable weather. A valid CDL and clean MVR are prerequisites, along with OSHA 10 training and background checks.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience or equivalent hours in line work.
• Must have valid State Driver License and Class A CDL with current medical card.
• Pass criminal and MVR background checks and a pre-employment drug screen.
• OSHA 10hr Safety Training completed within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Digs holes and sets poles for electrical lines and strings wire for new or repaired lines.
• Climbs poles, operates service trucks, and handles transformers and distribution equipment.
• Responds to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, and new service.
• Maintains tools and equipment and reports safety hazards to foreman.
