Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) is hiring a Transmission Lineman – C Class to perform line work, operate service trucks, and set poles for electrical distribution. The role requires climbing, endurance in all weather, and strong communication with team and customers.

The candidate should have 1–2 years of line experience, a valid CDL and medical examiner card, and completion of OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days. On-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical line work.
• Ability to climb poles and work in various weather conditions.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State Driver License and Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of electrical line work practices and equipment.
• Understand hazards and implement safety precautions.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in all weather conditions.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate clearly.
• Operate service trucks and related equipment.
• Read and record data from meter dials accurately.
• Respond to on-call shifts after hours as needed.
• Perform pole setting, wire stringing, and transformer connections.
• Maintain tools and equipment and report safety hazards.
