Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking an Apprentice Lineman B (APB) in Tuscaloosa, AL. This entry‑level role supports the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems under a Foreman.

You will assist with line work, equipment upkeep, and safety best practices. Ideal candidates are physically capable, have a valid driver’s license with CDL enrollment within 60 days, and are willing to travel and work outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends/holidays/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in constructing, repairing, and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and during outages or emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE usage and protective equipment.
• Inspect PPE and know when to wear it.
• Perform rigorous physical labor.
