Job summary

Chain Electric Company is seeking an Apprentice Lineman B in Richland, Mississippi to support the construction, repair and maintenance of electrical overhead distribution systems. This semi-skilled position requires adherence to standard trade practices and readiness to work in varying conditions.

Applicants should have a CDL-B license, own tools, and be able to travel on short notice. High school diploma or GED is required; Lineman training is a plus and field assessment may determine

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Climb poles or use bucket trucks to access equipment.
• Construct, maintain, and repair electrical overhead distribution systems and substations.
• Splice cables and lay underground/conduit as needed.
• Follow safety practices and report unsafe conditions.
• Drive to job sites with tools and materials.
• Identify defective equipment using diagrams and testing instruments.
