Job summary

Coast Electric is seeking an Apprentice Lineman to assist with overhead and underground power lines, under RUS specifications and OSHA regulations. This entry-level role reports to the Hancock County Operations Department and offers a trajectory toward Journeyman lineman.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid Class A CDL, and be willing to relocate within the Mississippi service area. Safety training and First Aid/CPR certification are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Certificate or experience in utility lineman work.
• Ability to read safety manuals and procedures.
• Proactive learner with basic knowledge of line construction tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, maintenance and repair of distribution power lines.
• Learn line construction basics and tool terminology.
• Observe safety procedures and RUS/NEC standards.
• Support storm restoration and emergency response efforts.
• Work on-call and overtime as required.

Education

Utility Lineman Certificate or 6 months experience
