Job summary

GreyStone Power Corporation in Georgia is seeking an Apprentice Lineman to join our Operations team in Hiram. The role provides structured apprenticeship training while performing construction and maintenance on overhead and underground distribution lines.

You will assist in trouble shooting, operate bucket trucks, and support substation switching under supervision. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, DOT certification in flagging and forklift operation, and physical

Qualifications

• Require high school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have completed all required training elements of Apprentice Lineman II or the equivalent.
• Must be willing to work after hours to assist in service restoration.

Responsibilities

• Drives, sets up, and operates bucket trucks and other equipment.
• Pulls trailers hauling poles and equipment.
• Inspects vehicles and equipment for safe operation and reports issues.
• Maintains truck stock of material.
• Operates equipment near energized lines under supervision.
• Climbs poles and works from a bucket on energized/de-energized lines.
• Performs housekeeping and maintains appearance of vehicles.
• Assists qualified personnel in substation and line switching.
• May perform duties in next level apprentice with approval.
