Job summary

Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) is seeking a Lineman Apprentice to assist in the operation, maintenance, construction and repair of transmission and distribution systems in Johnson City, Texas. You will participate in hands-on line work, safety training, and apprenticeship progression.

The role requires willingness to learn, adherence to safety regulations, and availability for call-out duties. A valid Texas driver’s license and successful completion of the Apprentice Level 2 program are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of DOL-approved Lineman Apprenticeship – Apprentice Level 2.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain overhead and underground lines and equipment.
• Inspect primary and secondary power lines and substation equipment.
• Identify and report problems and hazards observed.
• Operate and maintain PEC vehicles per policy and law.
• Respond to outages and assist in restoration efforts.
