Job summary

Qualifications

• 4000 documented hours and proven DOL approved lineman apprentice program participation.
• Working knowledge of the lineman craft.
• Developing knowledge of the installation or repair of cables or wires used in electrical power or distribution systems and transmission towers and lines.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist lineman in the installation or repair of cables or wires used in electrical power or distribution systems.
• May erect poles and light or heavy-duty transmission towers.
• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, install, test or repair cables or wires.
• Drive vehicles to job sites and travel to inspect lines.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in pre-job planning and safety discussions.
