Job summary

Bird Electric Enterprises is seeking a lineman helper to assist in installing or repairing cables and wires for electrical power systems. You will support the installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of distribution and transmission equipment, including climbing poles or using bucket trucks to access gear.

You must have 5000 documented hours with a DOL-approved lineman apprentice program, along with NCCER credentials.

Qualifications

• 5000 documented hours and proven DOL approved lineman apprentice program participation.
• Working knowledge of the lineman craft.
• Must have all necessary tools as listed for Lineman helper. Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation or repair of cables or wires used in electrical power or distribution systems.
• Help install, maintain, inspect, test, and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems.
• Climb poles or use bucket trucks to access equipment.
• Lay underground cable directly in trenches or through conduit.
