Qualifications

• 7000 documented hours and proven DOL approved lineman apprentice program participation.
• Developing knowledge of installation or repair of cables or wires used in electrical power or distribution systems and transmission towers and lines.
• Must have all necessary tools and be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist lineman in installing or repairing cables or wires according to plans and specs.
• Open switches or attach grounding devices to remove hazards and facilitate repairs.
• Climb poles or use bucket trucks to access equipment.
• Drive to job sites and travel to inspect lines for safety and insulation.
• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-job planning and safety discussions.
