Job summary

Armstrong Group in Butler, PA is seeking an entry-level Construction Lineman 1 to join our crew. The role supports aerial and buried coax, copper, and fiber optic installations, working from a 4x10 shift schedule with overnight travel.

You will climb poles, operate bucket trucks and other equipment, and follow Armstrong safety policies while learning company practices. This position offers immediate benefits and opportunities for CDL training and career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• DOT medical card obtainable after offer.
• Overnight travel required.
• Physical ability to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Pole and ladder climbing as required.
• Operate bucket trucks, forklifts, backhoes/trenchers and other equipment.
• Read network design prints and maintain logs/inventory paperwork.
• Follow Armstrong safety policies and construction practices.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment to Armstrong standards.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
