Job summary

Armstrong is seeking an entry-level Construction Lineman to join our team in Butler, PA. Shifts are 4x10 hours, Monday through Thursday, with overnight travel expected.

You will assist in constructing aerial and buried coax, copper, and fiber optic cables following Armstrong practices. We offer a robust benefits package, 25 days of PTO, and opportunities to obtain a Class A CDL and other career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid DOT medical card (can be obtained after offer).
• Overnight travel required.
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Able to work after hours for storm response as needed.
• Regular, punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Competent pole and ladder climbing skills.
• Works aloft utilizing climbing gaffs, ladders, and mechanical lifts.
• Operates bucket trucks, forklifts, backhoes, trenchers, and other machines.
• Reads network design prints.
• Accurately maintains daily log sheet and inventory paperwork.
• Follows Armstrong safety policies.
• Maintains vehicles and machines to Armstrong standards.
• Other assigned tasks.
