Job summary

A leading utility construction firm in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an experienced Aerial/Overhead Telecom Lineman to handle projects within their Telecom Construction division. Key responsibilities include planning projects, ensuring safety, installing and maintaining fiber optic facilities, and tree trimming. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience, and a valid CDL-A is preferred. Team Fishel offers competitive wages between $24 and $32 per hour, as well as benefits including health insurance and 401k contribution.

Qualifications

• Must possess over one year of industry experience.
• Experience with commercial deliveries and transportation in the Akron/Cleveland area is preferred.
• Valid CDL-A is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Planning and initiating projects.

• Setting poles and maintaining overhead fiber optic facilities.
• Installing and maintaining down guys and overhead guys.
• Trimming trees when necessary.

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire outstanding Aerial/Overhead Telecom Lineman for our Columbus, Ohio office. Aerial Telecom Lineman will handle new business projects within our Telecom Construction division. The average wage range for this position is between $24 and $32/hour, dependent on level of experience.

Responsibilities

Planning and Initiating Projects

Establishing OSHA and Customer Safety Requirements

Setting Poles

Maintaining and Repairing Overhead Fiber Optic Facilities

Installing New Strand and Lashing Fiber

Installing and Maintaining Down Guys, Overhead Guys, etc.

Building Risers, Installing Snow Shoes/Slack Coils

Tree Trimming

Lineman Requirements & Qualifications

Must have 1+ year experience in the industry

Experience with commercial deliveries and transport in the Akron/Cleveland area

Basic tools required could be climbing tools (Belt and Gaffs), basic hand tools, etc.

Valid CDL-A is strongly desired

Bilingual English/Spanish experience is a plus
