Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions in Albuquerque, NM is seeking safety-minded Class A Linehaul Drivers. Our drivers transfer freight to specified locations, hook and unhook trailers, and complete required DOT paperwork.

They are home daily with weekends off, enjoying a healthy work-life balance. This role requires valid CDL A, 21+, 1 year of CDL experience, no recent DUI/DWI, and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• No DUI or DWI in the past 3 years.
• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain; renewals reimbursable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or supervisor.
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that paperwork accompanies shipment to the delivery point.
• Operate tractor-trailer for long distances.

• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
