Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) is seeking safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers to transfer freight to specified locations, hook and unhook trailers, and complete paperwork per government regulations. Our Linehaul Drivers are home daily with weekends off, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Shift starts at 8 PM with routes from DFW to Amarillo or Midland. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, at least 21, and 1 year of commercial driving experience, plus Hazmat/Tanker

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Age 21+
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI/DWI in the past 3 years
• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain (renewals reimbursable)

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection
• Operate tractor-trailer for long distances

SHIFT: 8 PM Start Tine

ROUTE: DFW to Amarillo or Midland (float route)

PAY: $0.71/mi singles - $0.73/ mi doubles

REPORTS TO: Linehaul Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
