Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) is seeking safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers for routes from the DFW area to Amarillo or Midland. Drivers are home daily with weekends off, delivering freight on time and maintaining compliant paperwork.

This full-time role requires 1 year of driving experience, a valid Class A CDL, and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain them. You'll perform pre/post-trip inspections, hook and haul trailers, and ensure DOT paperwork accompanies

SHIFT: 8 PM Start Tine

ROUTE: DFW to Amarillo or Midland (float route)

PAY: $0.71/mi singles - $0.73/ mi doubles

REPORTS TO: Linehaul Manager

DIRECT REPORTS: NO

JOB SUMMARY

This position requires transferring freight to specified locations in a timely manner, hook and unhook commercial trailers, and complete all paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures/policies. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
