Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions Inc is seeking safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers for a Denver-based route to Pueblo and back. This role involves transferring freight, hooking trailers, and completing required government paperwork to ensure on-time delivery.

Home daily with weekends off, delivering balance between safety, quality, and productivity. We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus, with competitive mileage rates.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI in the past 3 years.
• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain them (renewals reimbursable).
• Successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers between customer terminals as directed by dispatch.
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection with shipments to delivery points.
• Operate tractor-trailer for extended distances and time.

SHIFT: 6pm start time, Monday-Friday ROUTE: Denver, CO to Pueblo, CO to Denver, CO PAY: $0.79/mile ($36/hour for pick & delivery) + $5,000 sign on bonus! REPORTS TO: Linehaul Manager DIRECT REPORTS: No

JOB SUMMARY

This position requires transferring freight to specified locations in a timely manner, hook and unhook commercial trailers, and complete all paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures/policies. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable
• This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
